Description
Casa Agria Specialty Ales is a small brewery focusing on mixed fermentation farmhouse style ales and barrel aged wild ales in Ventura County, California. Like much of California, Ventura County agriculture and farming has played a vital role in the development of the communities here throughout time. The mild climate and rich soil allows for several harvests throughout the year making it one of the most valuable resources here. For these reasons the farmhouse style is a perfect style to refresh during a warm dry winter and a mild summer day alike from one harvest to the next. Further influence is found in the food ingredients and diverse cultural traditions of the people who shaped the California of today.

Negligible smell. Golden colour, white head. Aroma of grass, malt, rubber. Medium bitter. Fizzy carbon.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Slightly hazy golden colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some tartness and mild wood. Flavour is tartness, mild bretty tones with some wood and mild fruity tones. Tartish and bretty aftertaste.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy grapefruit color with a large foamy white head. Aroma is peach/pineapple. Med body. Flavor is quite tropical. Melon, passion fruit, nectarine. Juicy but not excessively sweet. At least moderately bitter. Nice ale.

turbid golden color. A bit of OJ and mango juice. Tart, juicy, not overly dank or amazing depth but solid hazy nonetheless.

Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours clear gold with a large white head. Citrus aroma. Med body. Flavor is rather dry and moderately bitter. A wheat note. Nice level of grass/spice. Not getting citrus.
