Description
Casa Agria Specialty Ales is a small brewery focusing on mixed fermentation farmhouse style ales and barrel aged wild ales in Ventura County, California. Like much of California, Ventura County agriculture and farming has played a vital role in the development of the communities here throughout time. The mild climate and rich soil allows for several harvests throughout the year making it one of the most valuable resources here. For these reasons the farmhouse style is a perfect style to refresh during a warm dry winter and a mild summer day alike from one harvest to the next. Further influence is found in the food ingredients and diverse cultural traditions of the people who shaped the California of today.

Casa Agria Room with a View West Coast IPA 7.5% Completely opaque orange gold with off-white foam evokes a hazy rather than west coast IPA. The aroma is juicy hazevwhile the taste starts of bitter pine like a west coast before giving you some sweet tropical juice in the finish. I’d say this is that midway between the two mountain IPA style beer. Good stuff.

Can from KBL. Hazy pale yellow-white. Low head. Big tropical fruit nose of pineapple, coconut, papaya, orange, grapefruit. Slick, oily body, fruity, not heavy, peppery, tingly finish rather than bitter at first, then bitterness remains. Decent, highly drinkable.

Casa Agria Sunday School n Double Hazy ipa 7.8 Honey butter dense looking gold in color with off white foam. Full bodied with a bit of heat and green hop burn. Juicy tropical aroma entices and the flavor matches but as it’s not as fresh more pithy citrus and pine than bright tropical flavors. Pretty good on a sunny Sunday.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange ruby with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is plum skin, yeast, wood. Slick body, tart plum, lemon, wood, light acidity, very nice.

I got this as I like Casa Agria, find Italian Pilsners interesting and loved the label. Casa Agria Campopils Italian Pilsner Lovely gold with a huge soft off-white head of foam and subtle herbal hop bouquet. Medium bodied with slightly chewy malts and some residual sweetness in the aftertaste. The taste is great, chewy semi-sweet freshly threshed grain malt character then a crisp herbal bite. It goes down a treat.
