Description
Casa Agria Specialty Ales is a small brewery focusing on mixed fermentation farmhouse style ales and barrel aged wild ales in Ventura County, California. Like much of California, Ventura County agriculture and farming has played a vital role in the development of the communities here throughout time. The mild climate and rich soil allows for several harvests throughout the year making it one of the most valuable resources here. For these reasons the farmhouse style is a perfect style to refresh during a warm dry winter and a mild summer day alike from one harvest to the next. Further influence is found in the food ingredients and diverse cultural traditions of the people who shaped the California of today.

Can (1/31/22) pour from Valley Beverage, Sherman Oaks. It's an opaque dark yellow with trace sparkle, finger-width off-white foamy head with good retention and nice rings of lacing. Aroma is strong grapefruit, citrus, stone fruit and musky herbal. Taste is mix of stone fruit, grapefruit, spicy musky herb. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, strong juice and decent complexity. Good!

Black colour, small light brown head. Mild aroma of roasted malt. Full bodied, just moderately sweet; dark chocolate, toasted coconut, not much pastry, but it's like a solid chocolate praline, with some alcohol warmth.
Excellent.

US Pint can at my daughters place in Laguna Hills on 4th January 2022. hazy yellow body, white crown on top. Super fruity nose and taste, semi-sweet and full bodied, a proper fruit cocktail of a beer. Very easy to drink, hides the alcohol far too well.
