On tap at Alus Celle, Riga Milk and chocolate in the nose. Pours pretty much jet black with a small beige head. In the mouth it is sweet, smooth, and chocolatey, with hints of sticky toffee. A velvet caress of the tongue, but a bit thin overall. Finish is mainly chocolate but with some malts. I like this one

Bottle from Taka, Riga (also available at Alus Celle) Pours almost black with not much head. Malty aroma, with mouthfeel starting off with grainy maltiness and milk chocolate. Then it all goes wrong, the chocolate fades and there isn’t much behind it.

Bottle sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Hazy bright golden colour, foamy white head leaving lacing and aroma of citric rind, bretty funky yeast. Taste is malt, caramel, grain with zesty citrus, lemon rind, bretty horseblanket, apricot fruity, yeasty and hoppy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry citric bitter finish. Quite drinkable

Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, slightly foamy mouthfeel. Nice sweet and fruity finish. Pretty good, enjoyed this.

33cl bottle. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Herbal hoppy with notes of pine, caramel, ripe fruits and hints of earth. Medium to moderate sweet with medium flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Not so clean, but drinkable enough. The label looks nice --- Beer merged from original tick of Lagoon India Pale Ale on 13 Jun 2019 at 21:25 - Score: 6
