Description
In 2014, we started Verdant to make beers that we love. Nothing’s changed. It’s still about taste, quality, and all ’round deliciousness. Think juicy, hoppy, unfiltered, hazy beers that are always vegan! That’s us. Apart from the vegan bit. We’re bad at being vegan, but our beers are great at it. We’re independent, and always will be — that way we can continue to push boundaries and make beer we love, and hopefully you will love them too.

Growler fill. Little Leeds Beer House. Dirty gold. Full on haze. Barely a head. Nose has spearmint. Woody herb. Lots of pineapple skin. Mango. Peach, and some ripe pear. I'm guessing this has plenty of oats in the grist. Creamy and sweet. Taste is oaty sweet. Estery bitter. Some oiliness. Soft mouthfeel. A bit milky, and has some booze poking through. Finish gets punchy, citrus bitter. Doesn't come together that well, for me.

Growler fill. Little Leeds Beer House. Soupy, pale gold. Film of white head, that sticks to the glass. A little leggy. Nose is pretty ridiculous. Minty herb. Ripe mandarin. Ripe pineapple. Ginger biscuit malts. Baked citrus. Hint of sappy pine. Taste is sugary, ginger biscuit sweet, with well balanced, charred citrus bitterness. Soft and fruity, velvety mouthfeel. Drinks like a fruit smoothie. No trace of 8% here. Rich, soft, juicy, fruity bitterness to finish. Wow.

Keg at Andrew Usher's. Murky golden body with a thick off-white head. Lively carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is subtle - there are hint of melon rind, paper and peach skin. Flavour of lime pith, minerals and peach. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. There's nothing particularly distinctive or unusual with this beer, but it's a decent IPA.
