Description
In 2014, we started Verdant to make beers that we love. Nothing’s changed. It’s still about taste, quality, and all ’round deliciousness. Think juicy, hoppy, unfiltered, hazy beers that are always vegan! That’s us. Apart from the vegan bit. We’re bad at being vegan, but our beers are great at it. We’re independent, and always will be — that way we can continue to push boundaries and make beer we love, and hopefully you will love them too.

440ml can. Pours murky orange with a huge frothy off-white head. Aroma: pithy orange, grapefruit. Taste: much the same as the aroma, very pithy, zesty, orange, mandarin, grapefruit, lots of citrussy hops, slight earthiness, bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation. Good but not one of Verdant’s best.

L42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Colin for the can. Very hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and fairly crisp. Mild minerals. Light thin malts bring a very mild sweetness. Decent citric orange and orange peel. Light lemon. Light dry finish. Bitter linger. Decent but not blowing me away.

Can shared in London - thanks to Fergus. Pours murky orange with a frothy, white head. The nose has some grainy pale malts, pithy citrus. Light sweet flavour with more pale bread, biscuits, hay. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, more crispy pale malts, citrus rind. Not bad.
