Description
In 2014, we started Verdant to make beers that we love. Nothing’s changed. It’s still about taste, quality, and all ’round deliciousness. Think juicy, hoppy, unfiltered, hazy beers that are always vegan! That’s us. Apart from the vegan bit. We’re bad at being vegan, but our beers are great at it. We’re independent, and always will be — that way we can continue to push boundaries and make beer we love, and hopefully you will love them too.

15th Dec 2016: keg half-pint in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Very pale amber with a slight hazy look, wispy white head. Exotic citrus aroma, taste similar: bitter, dry and semi-sour in nature. Refreshing and ’moreish’.

On keg, 4.5 % abv, half pint, shared with Finn at Bread and Roses. A hazy golden body, decent white head that left scattered lacing on the glass. Inviting aromas of mid-sweet citrus and bread-like malts. Lemon, pineapple, and grapefruit to the taste buds, malty sweetness beneath. Mild citrus peels towards the finish. Rounded and refreshing with fine drinkability (Plymouth 25.09.2016).

Can at home in London - picked up at Caps n Taps. Pours lightly hazy gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds rindy citrus, dried pale malts, lemon peel. Light sweet flavour with strong flinty minerality, more pithy citrus, rindy bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Somewhat dry in the finish, with touches of pine, more mineral flint, lemon peel, faint grapefruit. The minerality dominates here, neutering most of the hop character. Drinkable stuff, if one-dimensional.

Medium sweet flavour with citric hops, cherry yoghurt, melon, bitter grass and light pine, peach. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
