Description
In 2014, we started Verdant to make beers that we love. Nothing’s changed. It’s still about taste, quality, and all ’round deliciousness. Think juicy, hoppy, unfiltered, hazy beers that are always vegan! That’s us. Apart from the vegan bit. We’re bad at being vegan, but our beers are great at it. We’re independent, and always will be — that way we can continue to push boundaries and make beer we love, and hopefully you will love them too.

330ml can @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours a misty amber, white head. Aroma is bright fruity grapefruit and citric orange juice. Taste continues with lots of juicy grapefruit, blood orange, some light pine, very light and drinkable. Great stuff.

Keg at Mother Kelly’s - London. Pours clear, deep gold with a creamy, white topping. The nose holds dank hops, citrus, some poo, orange rind. Medium sweet flavour with nips of alcohol, some manure, ripe orange, hearty pale malts, light rindy bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more ripe citrus, sweet pale bread, more odd poopy aspect, oily line, tangerine, melon. Interesting stuff. Certainly a little odd, but shows promise. It actually gets better as you drink more of it.

Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Very hazy, orange amber. Swirly, messy, lasting, white head. Nose has juicy, pulped orange and lime. Some stone fruit. Tinned strawberry. Some minty toffee. Some pine needle. Taste has some caramel sweetness first off, with plenty of resinous, bitter flavours. Some chew on the palate. A little hop oiliness. Gets more bitter toward the end, with a slightly dank, chewy close.

Keg at mother Kelly’s. A translucent pale golden coloured pour with a a lasting thin white head. Aroma is grassy citrus, hay, straw, little rustic hop, pale bready grains. Flavour is composed of light bready grains, mellow citrus lemon hop, zesty, rustic grains, hay and straw. Palate is soft, rounded and easy going, moderate carbonation, I like it. Very sessionavle.

Golden appearance. Aroma and flavour have lots of very fresh green hop and floral notes. Really clean, crisp and easy to drink.

Can. Little Leeds Beer House. Hazy amber. Thin, bubbly, sticky, off white head. Nose has juicy, tinned strawberry fruitiness. Jammy sweet, herbal and dank. Some sticky, resinous notes. Backdrop of toffee malts. Definitely errs toward the chewy end of the spectrum. Taste is momentarily sweet, turning resinous and spicy bitter. Full body. Lots of oily hop. Big, spicy, fruity bitter finish. A bit brash and bold, but hugely tasty. Great stuff.
