Description
In 2014, we started Verdant to make beers that we love. Nothing’s changed. It’s still about taste, quality, and all ’round deliciousness. Think juicy, hoppy, unfiltered, hazy beers that are always vegan! That’s us. Apart from the vegan bit. We’re bad at being vegan, but our beers are great at it. We’re independent, and always will be — that way we can continue to push boundaries and make beer we love, and hopefully you will love them too.

Keg at the HL1, 23/06/17. Murky orange with a decent off white head. Nose is semi dank hop, pine, straw, melon, bitter orange. Taste comprises pithy citrics, grapefruit, toasted bread, tangerine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a bitter hop smack. Decent enough IPA but had hoped for a little more from this one.

L42 Bottleshare. Big thanks to Leighton for tracking down this ridiculously elusive can. Cloudy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and finely crisp. Light malts, lightly sweet. Light sweet floralness. Ripe citrus and a little bruised mango. Good hop spice. Orange peel. Light hop spicy finish. Nice beer, but for me suffers mildly in comparison to the US DIPAs we had immediately before.

Can. Turner’s, Sheffield. Completely opaque, dark orange. Massive, bubbly, noisy, dirty white head. Nose has a load of squeezed orange and oily citrus. Creamy malts. Lime juice. Bit of a white grape thing. Taste is light and oily, citrus bitter. Some breakfast juice sweetness. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, but that’s probably due to the bonkers carbonation. Juicy bitter finish. Great beer here, let down by the big fizz. 8383-16
