Bottle at home. Aroma is big fruity hops, citrus, orange, biscuity malt, grapefruit, pine resin, caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet with a strong bitter finish. Body is above medium. I don’t understand the comments about low hop profile, this pretty damn fruity hoppy and bitter with a good malt backbone. Anyway, I was really in the mood for a big hoppy bittersweet IIPA sipper and this one very much delivered on my needs.

A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, nice chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with light coffee notes, light licorice, alcohol warmth, a bit attenuated. Bottle close to 10 years old.

Shaker pint draft at Monkey pod kitchen in Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. The pour is a yellow, orange, golden hazed appearance and a 1/2 inch foamy white inch head. The aroma is passion fruit, soft Belgian spice and yeast citrus. The taste is a blend of the clean Belgian White with wheat grain, grass and the Lilikoi passion fruit fresh and clean. The palate is light to medium bodied with soft natural carbonation and the fruit and yeast to the finish. Tasty.

I get more fruit punch vibes than strawberry milkshake but better than expected I guess.

From bottle to tulip glass. Massive peat and smoke on both the aroma and flavor. Very deep brown with minimal brown head. The barrel really comes out nicely in this one. A bit one dimensional and a thinnish mouthfeel which surprised me. Very interesting and one of the best I have had from Hermitage.

Capped 375 from the Stevens Creek Total Wine in San Jose, CA. Pours very dark brn/blk with a transient dark, rusty tan head. Aroma of chocolate and whiskey. Notes of smoke/peat and burnt malt. Arguably full bodied. Flavor is peated whiskey - Laphroaig comes to mind. Chocolate, burnt malt and vanilla can be found. Not dry, but the smoke substitutes for hop bitter. Nigh on exquisite.

Can from the Stevens Creek Total Wine in San Jose, CA. Pours hazy gold with a large foamy white head. Mango wafts from the pour. Med plus body. Flavor is juicy - mango and pineapple. Pineapple makes it seem dry. Lots of citrus hop too, so the light malt in support is almost not present in terms of taste. Bitter for sure. Very good flavor.

Can from the Stevens Creek Total Wine in San Jose, CA. Pours translucent gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is lightly bready with grass/spice. Med body at least. Flavor is spice/grass with bready malt support. Towards dry, and bitter enough to offset the maltiness. Bready, but still rather clean.
