Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Bright gold in colour with a loose white head; orangey malt aroma; light fruity malt flavour; the finish is grassy and bitter to start, but then becomes dry and spicy. A very pleasant session bitter.

50cl bottle from Bellingerโs, Grove, Oxon. SLightly hazy copper with a scummy looking off-white head; pleasantly orangely malt aroma; rich caramel malt flavour with a thick butterscotch texture; crisp, lightly bitter finish. A good, no-nonsense, strong ale.

Cask (Guide Dog, Southampton) - Amber in colour. Sulphuric aroma with malt and fruit. Fruity and slightly bitter taste with caramel and spicy malt. I remember it being better than this. Iโll try to rate it again in future.

Cask@GBBF 2009. Golden color, small white head. Kind of sour-yeasty-citrusy aroma. Light citrusy hoppy flavor. Lingering citrus acidic aftertaste. Lots of taste for 3.5% beer.

Cask-conditioned at the Royal Oak, Bath 18/07/09. Apparently Mudskipper is normally cloudy, but this example was a lovely clear red/amber with next to no head. A fairly one dimensional bitter with plenty of fruity malt and a short finish. Ok.

Cask gravity at Ealing BF 2009. Clean clear orange/amber, lasting bubbly beige head. Good toffee in the malts. Some decent hedgerow earthy hop on finish. Itโs an ok quite tasty toffee bitter.
