Cask at GBBF: Poured a dark black brown with tan head. Aroma was super malty went straight into the taste, very full flavored results.

[ As Butts Wild Mild ].
ABV: 3.5%. Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, sweet malt, malty, toasted - dark malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, dark malt, toasted. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190806]

[Cask at the Nags Head, Reading.] A glossy black pour with a loose beige head; toasty aroma; smooth milky body with an earthy malt taste and a touch of licorice. A rather nice dark mild.

5/2/2019. Bottle from Grumpy Goat, Reading. Pours bright amber with a large foamy off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, hops, fruit and biscuit. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Nice bitterness to finish. Decent.

5/2/2019. Cask at the Nags Head, Reading. Pours amber with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of malt, fruit, hops, caramel and flowers. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, oily and slightly watery texture, soft carbonation. Moderate lasting bitterness to finish. Looks the part, and grew on me a bit but disappointing overall.

Cask at Hants Oktoberfest. Low key fruit and liquorice aroma. Black. Thin bubbly off-white head. Light light bitter with a sour edge and sweet canned fruit. Light bodied. Thin. Soft carbonation. Astringent finish, if low key finish. OK. Average mild.

Cask-conditioned, at the Bag O'Nails, Bristol, 16/10/2017. Near black in colour, with a creamy, off-white, head. Surprisingly hoppy mild, with some chocolate, berry fruits and toasty malts, before a gentle finish. Enjoyable.

Half-pint, cask, shared with Finn at Bell Inn. Bright golden body. Shiny naked at the surface. Spotty lacing. Mid-sweet aroma of apples and earthy malts. Mixed taste of mid-sweet apples and honeyed malts. Rounded mid-dry end. Medium bodied. Satisfying. (Bath 03.05.2017).
