Cask - Twiggy bitterness and a bit of dark malts. Cloudy copper with a beige head. Bitter twig with a long finish.

Bottle at home. Dark gold, almost orange. No head, reasonable carbonation. Aroma of yeast and grassy hops, with a bit of lemon. Taste is initially sweet with some light salt /umami notes. Finish is slightly more bitter. A nice beer with a simple profile, not quite as good as I remember.

50cl bottle. Hazy copper color, thin beige head. Aroma has toffee, raisins, caramel and light smokey notes. Flavor is sweet honeylike with tofffee, butterscotch, nutty, malty. Finish is bitter with hops and herbal notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Enjoyable. Thumbs up.

500ml bottle. Clear orangey dark golden to amber colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Minimally grainy and strawy aroma, fruity notes of gooseberry and other pale berries. Taste is minimally grainy, slightly bitter hoppy overtones, minimally sweet fruity touch of pale berries.

Pours dark brown with a smooth white head. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa, chocolate and licorice. Taste is smooth with hints of roastiness, chocolate and cocoa. Finish is sweetish and smooth with hints of cocoa. Quite sweet and malty with hints of cocoa. Decent.

Aroma has cocoa, some nuts and hints of lactic acid. Flavour has lactic acid, cocoa, some milk chocolate and malty notes. Also some wood and nuts. Good.

500ml bottle. Clear ruby red glowing dark brown colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Dark malty aroma with a salty touch of liquorice. Taste is slightly spicy dark malty, salty, husky overtones, subtle sweetness.

Bottled 500ml. -Brown coloured with a red glare, medium sized beige head, hint of licorice in the nose. Roasted malt, licorice and smoke with mild notes of chocolate and coffe. A bit thin but ok porter.

Cask-conditioned at the Victoria, Clifton Lido, Bristol 20/10/2012. Amber with a slight, off-white head. Sweet cereal, a touch of fruit and tart finish. So so.
