Draft - dark ruby pour - intensely smoky nose, with and underlying caramelized sugar sweetness, giving the impression of campfire and roastedmarshmallows - flavor is deeply roasty, with a light acidity and balancing sweetness - robust smokiness and wood, the cherrywood being most prominent - the rye adds a nice earthy bitterness - the flavors are intense, but nothing is astringent or overly charred, as you sometimes get in such heavily smoky beer - I’m a fan.

Citrus, primært lys grapefrugt. Mild carb. Fyldig bitterhed, umiddelbart ret harmonisk. Meget let drikkelig.

Bottle, 12oz. An almost clear one, reddish dark golden in color and with a creamy, light beige head leaving lacings. The aroma ismalty with a faint sourish touch. Caramel and a generic fruityness too. Pale malts, caramel, something almost milky sour and a decent bitterness in the flavor. Medium body and pleasant carbonation. Pleasant bitterness in the else malty finish. A forgettable one. 131004

12oz bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Filtered yellow-tan body. Caramel pine aroma. Kind of meh, unimpressive compared to some of the other beers sampled that evening. Still has a respectable hoppiness, just comes off a little old school to me. Lemom-lime finish, mellow pink grapefruit. Reminds me on an Imperial Pils somehow.
