Bottle. Orange-caramel malt and grapefruit peel aroma. Amber color with small head. Mildly sweet caramel malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel/quinine flavor. Okay - nothing spectacular.

Bottle. Chocolate malt and lactic acid aroma. Dark brown color with large tan head. Sweet chocolate malt and lightly bitter herbal hops flavor. Medium body but finishes a bit light. Pretty good.

12 oz bottle from BevMo Salinas. Nose is heavy on caramel with a hint of molasses, along with a flowery hop bite. Clear cherry red with a medium beige head. Flavor is lightly bitter with caramel and a bit of light sweetness.

12oz bottle. Bitter chocolate aroma. Brown sugar. Medium bodied, approaching full. Quite rich flavorwise, but very drinkable. Light vanilla molasses tones. Sweet, creamy finish.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a hint of a copper and ruby glow at the bottom and a nice, two centimetre tall tan head that leaves a nice lace on the side of the glass. Aroma of toffee, malt, hops, citrus and a bit of nice pungent hops. Full-bodied; Dense, deep toffee and earthy maltiness showing with a slightly sour hop note, some caramel and other sugars and a good deep metallic and almost fruity note at the end. Aftertaste shows mostly sweet and hoppy tastes combined with a complex maltiness and some subdued alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice deep, strong beer with some good flavours and a strong hop note. sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased at K&E Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 20-November-2011 for US$8.99 sampled at home in Washington on 06-March-2012.
