Pours black with a small, lasting tan head. The aroma is of roast malt, chocolate, and coffee. It has an intense dark roast malt flavor with chocolate, peppers, licorice, and coffee. There’s a good bittering hop balance and a full body. Excellent.

2,500th rating! Pours a dark straw from a can. Light lemon and biscuit aroma. Similar flavor, noble hops, well balanced. Pretty good beer.

Pours a slightly hazy straw from a can, pillowy head. Tropical fruit, light green onion, citrus aromas and flavor. Very thin in the mouth. Good beer.

16 ounce can from Brew & Co. in Bedford Hills, NY. Number one with a bullet. Opaque dark brown color topped by a dense, frothy tan head. Roasted malt aroma has obvious notes of cinnamon. Sweet roasted malt flavor upfront. Notes of cinnamon and chocolate. Mild heat from the crushed red pepper. Medium bodied. Decent flavor. Heat builds as brew warms.

Can from Cikoko: pours hazy with white head. Aroma is citrus mostly with spring onions. Citrus, onion and hop burn.

Can hazy yellow orange color with head. Aroma of tropical fruits, zest, pines, light yest. Taste starts with biscuity malt, quickly overlapped by tropical fruits, oranges, zest, pines. Again bit yeasty, but good.
