750 c&c from Trader Joe's in Davis, CA. Pours clear dark brown with a monstrous creamy tan head that sort of did a Guinness. Aroma of dark malt with spice. Arguably full bodied. As usual, tho not always, it is marvelous and the spices are hard to parse. Malty but the spice stands in for bitter. This year is really excellent. As are most years.

750 mL bottle from Trader Joe;'s (Where else?), Downers Grove. I've bought a third bottle to sample from fresh, so I don't kick myself for letting these sit around so long. Satisfying cork pop. Pour offers a deep brown body with a foamy tan head. Smell of dates and brown bread, maybe a bit of clove. Taste has some clove and, let's just say it, pumpkin pie spice. But also raisins or plums, and the spice of wheat malt as well. A second pour leaves a trail across the foam, like I could do a cappuccino art work on it. Malt sweetness and hops are in harmony here, resulting in a slightly dry finish. Taste of yeast build slightly the further down I pour.

12 ounce can from Trader Joe’s in Princeton, NJ. Rich orange copper color. Large, pillowy tan head. Mild toasted malt aroma. Nice caramel malt flavor upfront is balanced by a dose of spicy hops. A hint of toasted nuts and black pepper. Smooth and drinkable.

Very nice pink and light ruby coloured body with a thin, pale white and rose coloured head that fades very quickly as expected. Aroma of apples, tart cranberries, sweet and sour candy with a light touch of vinegar and a mild breadiness near the end. Light-bodied; Strong sweet and soured cranberries dominate with a lot of apples, candy, residual sugars and even some dry floral notes towards the end, but the crisp, tart and enjoyable cranberries and fruits are the strongest. Aftertaste shows mostly the two fruits - cranberries and apples with some yeast noticeable and a dry floral quality, but not much aside from that. Overall, a nice sweet and slightly dry cider, complete with a great cranberry tartness and some yeast, too. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe's in Alexandria (Old Town), Virginia on 28-November-2020 for US$1,50 sampled at my house here in Washington on 14-December-2020.

12oz can from Trader Joe's. Golden pour with thin white head, lacing. Aroma features light pumpkin pie spice. Taste switches gears to pumpkin flesh, squash notes. Pretty solid outing.

Bottle split at the 2nd CBJ tasting, thanks to LKS, 31/08/23. Deep amber with a light beige cap. Nose is dried fruit rinds, spice, earthy, grains, herb. Taste comprises light oxidised notes, grains, dark fruit esters, spice, yeast, toffee. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable.
