750ml. Cola color, medium, gray-brown head. Light spice, plum. Pleasant pine, cinnamon, nutmeg, lots of dried fruits. Like with previous years, it's a great value for a beer from a great brewery.

355ml can from Trader Joe's and drank on 25th July 2023 at Sarah-Janes house, poured into an old 'Corsendonk' stemmed tulip glass. Short lived white head, opaque yellow/lemon body. It's 'tart' pineapples, not sweet ones.

$1 can that mysteriously slid into my cart as I was buying groceries. Pint glass @home; 5.5%. Clear, very pale gold with a lingering, fizzy head. Sour, fresh lettuce, almost ginger soda nose. Prickly, bittersweet, doubling down, a touch watery but holding till it hits with a back-sweetened tart finish. Very slight medicinal pith & salt on the very end to savor. Snappy. This is the best $1 adult beverage I've ever had. Scary when you say it back to yourself.

Not as sweet as some previous years and always the prominent Unibroue yeast.

Very thin looking and super light amber and copper coloured body with a thinnish, fast-dying off-white head that definitely doesn't look close a porter, let alone a stout, this would be lucky to pass as a brown ale by the looks. Aroma of super pungent allspice, cardamom, nutmeg and some pure ground ginger notes with a dash of bread and yeast, but no real maltiness at all to speak of and some sugars in the nose, at least. Light to Medium-bodied; Very strong spices dominate at first with the cardamom and allspice especially and then the ground ginger takes over with some canella as well, but there is no real malt support making this a thinnish, spiced beer with some sugars towards the finish. Aftertaste shows some bready yeast with a dash of nuts and other rustic qualities, but again, this is really dominated by the candy sugar and significant spicey flavours here with the ginger and nutmeg strongest at the finish. Overall, this is nowhere close to a stout, and while this is pretty obvious, it's not a horrible beer with the spice notes nicely - I'm glad I wasn't expecting a rich beer, but this is good perhaps only if you love cardamom, allspice and ginger and don't want anything strong in terms of malts. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe's in Alexandria (Old Town), Virginia on 28-November-2020 for US$1,34 sampled at my house here in Washington on 09-February-2023.

22oz bomber, undated, drunk 1/28/23. Clear, dark. Tan head is small, low retention. Big, tannic oak and whiskey. Fairly heavy char with some buttercream and heavy whiskey spice behind it. Black malts add cocoa and dark chocolate. A bit heavy-handed on the barrel/whiskey/booze. Strong bourbon/oak/char character that actually doesn't come off as dominant as the nose would suggest. But yet, unlike the top tier Bourbon Imperial Stouts, this one doesn't pass the texture test. Just too thin for its size and the amount of whiskey character. Tastes like $7.99.

355ml bottle from Trader Joe's on 9th January 2023. Saw this bottle in the 'try before you buy a six pack' shelf and grabbed it; Wish I hadn't to be honest! Clear light urine color, no head after the initial white splash when pouring. Sweet spiced pumpkin aroma/flavour with an overriding apple cider taste. I will not be going back for a six pack.
