Perfectly clear, almost ghostly white coloured body with a small touch of golden coming in the body, but no head at all, of course. Aroma of deep spices with allspice, nutmeg, canella and a good dash of star anise - quite strong in the nose with some light squash notes and a good deal of spiced pear versus mild apples. Super light-bodied; Very strong pear and fruit notes show at first with a mild touch of sugars and honey, but the spices show very strongly at the end, in a good way, with a pretty easy-drinking profile. Aftertaste shows a very crisp fruit note with again more pear, but a solid amount of dryness, a little dose of sugars and of course a ton of spices here make this nice and robust throughout. Overall, a pretty nice spiced cider with a bunch of spices, a great level of sweetness and a good robust, easy-drinking cider that is enjoyable as something 'different' than heavier beers, especially during the chilly season. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from Trader Joe's in Bailey's Crossroads (Skyline), Virginia, Falls Church on 19-October-2022 for US$1,79 with a 'best consumed before' date of 11-August-2023 sampled at my hotel room here in Newport News, Virginia on 19-November-2022.

Purchased at Trader Joe's in Vermont a while back. Brown colour with some copper-ruby highlights, a decent frothy light mocha-coloured head, good stay and some patchy foam lacing. Minty aromas over the roasted malts that give out dark fruits, cherries and other berry notes. The cherry flavours shine over the rest. The minty hops lingers and a little dryness appears. Maybe some chocolate malts in there, butterscotch and caramel show up. Goes down nicely and does not seem to be the usual Unibroue Belgian yeast. Another interesting brew from Unibroue, which I wish we did not have to drive down to the States to purchase.

Pours dark brown into a tulip. Mocha head with excellent retention does not recede. Prune and raisin aromas. Sharp with sweet pumpernickel, prune and raisin bread upfront turning to warm, earthy multigrain before the sweet, molasses finish.

Bottle from Trader Joe's. Pours a clear orange with a quickly dissipating finger of head. Sweet malt nose with light floral, herbal aromas. More of the same on the palate but a weird mix of sweet and bitter. Dry herbal finish with almost a lavendar-like aroma. Worst of the TJ's beers I've had so far.

Deep copper coloured body with a very nice, three to four centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of tons of allspice, canella, nutmeg and coriander seed with a bunch of malt notes in the scent as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong spice flavours dominate with the nutmeg front and centre along with a dry grainy profile from the malts with a lot of complexity from the spices and seemingly a bunch of brown sugars to balance out the spice notes nicely. Aftertaste shows predominately the spices with a lot of flavours throughout with a lot of sugars, a lot of spices and a bunch of malts - this is balanced nicely and despite there not being much squash richness or body, the rest of this is great! Overall, a very nice spiced beer that reeks with nutmeg and canella and the sugars support nicely, as do the malts. A great beer and much better than I expected from Trader Joe's! Definitely worth buying for the price and probably for how readily available it is! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe's in Glen Allen/Short Pump (Richmond), Virginia on 26-September-2022 for US$1,34 sampled in my hotel room here in Novi, Michigan with two of my kids on 21-October-2022.

This cider has an aroma full of strawberries. The flavor is sweet with strawberries and apples. It’s straightforward and okay though sweeter than I prefer.
