Draft Pils glass at Anthony’s Pizza in Fort Lauderdale. The pour is a hazed golden brown with a one inch off white head. The aroma is soft nutty malt, along with soft natural caramel. The taste is clean cereal malt grain and the caramel sweetness. Nice enough flavor, though the caramel gets a bit candy sweet as it warms. Tastes a bit of a cream soda. The palate is light to medium bodied, sweet lingers in the finish. Well made, not entirely my thing.

Can. Pour is a deep reddish brown with a decent head and aromas of caramel/toffee, figs and a little hop presence that is almost resiny but not quite, if that makes any sense. First sip reveals a sticky and sweet beer, kind of a brown sugar base with a fig or date fruity edge to it and bitterness without a whole lot of hop character (or maybe a hop character that gets overshadowed by the malt sugariness. At times I think I pick up a bit of a tropical fruit profile but when I look for it on the next sip it is gone.

Can. Pours a dingy light amber with very little head. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon and maybe a honey or something sweet like that. Flavor is sharply hoppy with a lot of grapefruit and citrus. Mouthfeel is thin and malt presence is a little understated. I like this and it is a very nice lower ABV IPA.

On tap at Corner Cafe. Fairly cloudy golden amber with a nice head and aromas of tropical fruit. Flavor is sweet and thick with mango, passion fruit and maybe some guava. It’s a little sweet and kind of chewy for the style but I like it a lot!

12 oz. can, pours a cloudy opaque amber orange with a large frothy lingering white head. Aroma brings out loads of syrupy caramel malt, resinous hops, and sweetened grapefruit. Flavour brings out grapefruit rinds, citrusy hops, and pine. Quite hoppy and bitter, with the citrus rinds on the finish. Solid IPA.
