Ridiculously hazy pale golden coloured body with a very thick, five to six centimetre tall tan head that is slow to fade, all atop a beautifully hazy (95 per cent opaque) gold glow. Aroma of canned pineapple, lactose, vanilla, cream, potato chips, oranges, curacao, wheat and a dash of alcohol at the end, but seemingly no hops, in the nose at least! Full-bodied; Dense and very rich pineapple and malty chewy notes with a ton of cream, lactose, cardboard and somehow more malts, with alcohol and extra sugars thrown in. Aftertaste shows a lot of the canned pineapple and pineapple juice characteristic with an emphasis on the sweetness versus the freshness of the fruit, with yes, a lot of malt, a bunch of alcohol and some fitting richness from the lactose and creamy notes. Overall, a decent enough beer, but the pineapple is seemingly either artificial or just canned (not fresh pineapple), the lactose and creaminess is a bit too strong, and once again (like the other Decadent/Fruit Punch Gusher) there are no hops here - this isn't an IPA of any type, it's a pure, fruit beer...decent at best. The 'Fruit Punch Gusher' was much better in my opinion, and I love pineapples! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Knightly Spirits in Orlando (Orange Blossom Trail), Florida on 30-December-2020 for US$5,22, packaged on 19-October-2020, sampled at my house here in Washington on 07-February-2021.

Ridiculously deep ruby, pink and bright red coloured body with a nice hazy glow and a thinnish one to two centimetre tall pure pink head, all atop a strong pink grapefruit juice glow. Aroma of fruits, tart berries, yeast, bread, alcohol, caster sugar and a heavy dose of candy - quite strong. Medium to Full-bodied; Dense, intensely rich malts, wheat and juiciness with a lot of fruit punch, apple and tropically fruit notes with a light dash of alcohol, but the rich malts and especially the breadiness and fruits really come through. Aftertaste shows a rich fruit character of course, a ton of malts and a deep, tart and sweet pungency, with a light alcohol bite, but an almost astringent, super pungent and robust fruit beer that shows no hops at all throughout, but a ton of sugars, richness and fruits. Overall, this isn't any sort of IPA of course, this is a pure fruit beer, with tons of alcohol and rich wheats/malt that's pretty nice (as long as IPA isn't mentioned) that reminds me of the great beers at Boiler Brewing (Lincoln, Nebraska), but again, another IPA reach by Decadent. This one is still nice to try somehow, and I'll look for other fruits that I like to see if they are good as well. Can, shared by Jon. Pours pale hazy yellow. Floral, raspberry, bubble tea, rose water, cherry soda. Medium body. Weird. Not awful. Not great.

Cloudy gold with a small white head. Lots of nice tropical fruit. Bright tropical notes, guava, pineapple and citrus. A bright hit of bitterness that fades and a lingering tropical note. Decent.

Double IPA with raspberry, maple syrup and cinnamon (a combination of additions I would rather associate with a stout – but I guess putting the consumer on the wrong track is partially the intention here, like with that ‘white stout’ thing… Can from Kantien, shared with Craftmember, Hinke and Goedele. Egg-white, moussy, thinnish, opening head on a hazy peach blonde beer with orangey tinge. Aroma of indeed sweet and sugary raspberry jam, cantaloupe, biscuit, some moist cinnamon indeed, maple syrup in an almost marmalade-like way, brioche bread, mango, minerals, apricot tartelette, mace, plastic roses. Sweet onset, raspberry jam again but lacking in the tart and tomato-like natural flavour of actual raspberry, apricot, maple syrup sweetness again somewhat marmalade-like (I guess a bit ‘deformed’ in my head due to the unlikely IPA environment), soft carb with fluffy mouthfeel; creamy brioche-bready ‘soil’ under ongoing raspberry and maple syrup sweetness, both still feeling a bit candy-ish rather than genuine, a sprinkle of cinnamon added in the end along with citrusy hops, here remaining in the background though still effectuating a faint touch of grapefruity bitterness somewhere. Light toastiness and a plastic-like effect in the end too. Weird, not very convincing in its ingredients – but ‘decadent’ indeed. I think the idea as such is not necessarily a bad one, in the larger whole of milkshake and other flavoured IPAs, but I also remain convinced that it can be done much better than this. Sometimes it is more rewarding to think about actual flavour details rather than to show off and impress the young hipsters with weird flavour combinations…

Can pour from trade with Johnnnniee--thanks, John! It's a deeply hazy yellow with nice sparkle, fizzy finger-width white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong vanilla and sweet and tart lemon with late graham cracker. Taste is strong sweet lemon (like Lemon Pledge) along with tart lemon and vanilla but all of a very synthetic nature. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, this is like lemon meringue pie that you would find as a single serving offering in a dollar store from a brand you've never heard of. Some elements are here and you know that it's in the neighborhood of lemon meringue pie but flavors are out of balance and are really synthetic. Flavor doesn't deliver on aroma. Too carbonated. A bit of a train wreck.
