Description
Third Circle is an independent Irish microbrewery that has its beginnings in Kilcoole, Co Wicklow, where Third Circle director and brewer Jon Grennan grew up. In common with many Third Wave craft brewers, Jon's journey into the industry began with home brewing where he developed a fascination and love for the art and science of beer.

Third Circle beers are now crafted in Dublin at Third Barrel Brewery, where Jon's love for both precision and experimentation are feeling the creation of some exciting new brews. The company's core beliefs are simple: brew with balance, good taste and curiosity. Third Barrel Brewery was founded in Bluebell Avenue, Dublin in collaboration with friends at Stone Barrel Brewing.

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [180616]
Dark amber, hazy, frothy off white head
Aroma of red fruits, hint of strawberry, slight floral notes, sweet fruits
Taste of red berry fruits, some bitter orange, hedgerow fruits, touch of strawberry, bitter zest hops
Palate - Medium carb, bit over fizzy, medium body, frothy mouthfeel. More bitter than sweet, creamy texture. Finish is a bit dry, more bitter hops come through as a wave in the finish, much more bitter in the tail
Overall - Fruity Irish red, more hoppy in the finish, stronger flavour than usual for the style
