Cask at the Kelham island tavern. Jet black with a thick tan head. Aroma and taste are roasted and bitter malty. Slight coffee. Rich body.

Cask at the Whalebone, Hull. Pours clear dark brown with a tight beige head. Aromas of blackcurrant and cocoa. Taste has a faint nuttiness too. Decent mild.

Cask @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Hazy amber with a frothy head. Has full-bodied but subdued tropical fruitiness, evident in both aroma and taste. It also hides its strength well.

Handpull cask at Jacobs Well, Bradford. Light to mid-gold and clear with a thick white head. Light aroma of lemon sweets and some grassy character. Bittersweet taste with a chalky tongue-coating bitterness taking over the finish. More citrus and some astringent medicinal notes in the aftertaste. Okay.

Handpull cask at Jacob's Well, Bradford. Dark brown and clear with a thick off-white head. Light chocolate aroma, some malt notes. Taste is bittersweet with a light bit of sweetness and some chalky hops dominating in the finish. Full body for the ABV and soft carbonation. Very basic but good stuff all the same.
