From wooden cask, third shared with Finn at Manchester Beer & Cider Festival, Wood Bar. Black body, filmy layer, clingy lacing. Chocolate nose, dry. Taste of confectionery chocolate followed by a smoothly roasted end. Nice, just a bit too thin on the swallow. (2nd day of the festival, 23.01.2020).

8/2/2020. From cask at the Great British Winter Beer Festival, Birmingham. Pours clear dark bronze with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of hops, fruit, malt, toffee and biscuit. Moderate sweetness and medium plus bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Earthy finish. Decent brew.
