Cask at GBBF ‘19, day three, 08/08/19. Golden blonde with a white cap. Nose is grains, light citric peel, straw. Taste comprises grass, caramel, airy malts, dull fruit esters, toasted grains, hint floral. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable golde.

ABV: 5.2%. Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, roasted, chocolate, dark chocolate, sweet chocolate, dark malt, malt bitter, light ash. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190809]

On tap at the Swan, Bishopthorpe Road, York October 2019. Dark brown in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. A warming beer, with leafy hops, ripe red berries, brown sugar and a hint of spice. The malts were sweetish and slightly toasty and the finish had a whisky kick. Enjoyable.
