Description
Bullhouse was initially founded back in 2016 to bring to market styles of beer not commonly available in Northern Ireland. To that end, the first beers we brewed were an Imperial Stout and a Comber Potato Saison.
We work to the following four values which determine the beers we brew, our responsibility to our local community and to the local environment.
- Transparency
- Curiosity
- Community
- Creativity
With environmental sustainability at our core, we pride ourselves on using local suppliers where possible for our raw materials. All our base malts are grown on the island of Ireland. Unfortunately we don't have the climate to grow hops in Belfast, but we contract the freshest hops from around the world to ensure our hoppy beers are as flavourful as possible.
We naturally carbonate our beers using the CO2 produced during fermentation and have eliminated tank to tank transfers, further reducing our environmental impact.

Best before 10/25, purchased at the sterk, Amsterdam. Tasting it two days, at Epalinges, peaceful at the kitchen with a good and tasty sour beer, subtle and well balanced, right sourness, tropical note, dry and juicy, bitter, cereal, dry sweetness, good.

Nitro draught at Duke's, Halifax. Dark brown, opaque with a thick and fairly tight khaki head. Nice coffee aroma, traces of liquorice, some vanilla. Sweetvtaste, more vanilla and touches of lighter dark chocolate blends. The heavy bitterness comes in fairly quickly after this and rests gently on the back of the tongue. Weighty body for the ABV. Carbonation kept to a minimum to give a lovely nitro mouthful. Really good.

440ml can from Everyman's, Shrewsbury. Pours a hazed gold, large white head. Sugary sweetness on the nose and to taste, a little thin bodied, light, airy, economical, Tesco 3-for-5 feel. Had much better from Bullhouse.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear gold beer, small and short lived bubbly off white head. Light palate, mildly dry, a good fine minerally crispness. Light bodied pale malts, a modest sweetness. Nectaron hops coming over with ubiquitous cooling pine and a bit of light soapy vibe. Modest stone fruits on the back end, touch of mango. Light and semi dry finish. Tastes off kilter to me. 6.4

Can. Much better straight from the can. Smooth pale malts, a nice light creamy sweetness. Soft pine. Good juicy Nectaron stone fruits with a touch of mango. Smooth finish brings a nip of hop spice. Rather good then.

On tap at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Grapefruit, white grape & fresh bread aromas. Taste is grapefruit, lemongrass, white grape, spot of tropical fruit. Herby bittersweet aftertaste. Nice.
