Well stored bottle. Clear dark amber body with a nice, dense, beige head. Aroma has caramel malt, dry fruit and pleasant oxidation. Taste is sweet malt, caramel, dry fruit, vanilla, not much Christmas spices left after cellaring but balanced bitterness. Fine body and nice aftertaste. Relatively straight forward barley wine with a moderate hint of spices, very smooth and tasty.

500ml bottle, 495, purchased at Gulating Ølutsalg in Bodø. Shared with Liv and Kjell. Creamy fawn-coloured head remaining over a deep brownish body. Roasted malt-driven aromas, hints of caramel, promising. Flavoured with dark bread, caramel, and a coffee note. Roasted ending, caramel and coffee. Pretty nice.

RBESG 2019, Grand Tasting. Murky amber, small off-white head. Nice smoked malts, caramel & smoke, sharp alcohol. Lovely smoke profile, smoked meat. Very smooth but slightly too boozy.
