(Bottle, 0.5 l - batch 872 - BB 17.07.19, from Gulating Ølutsalg Trondheim, 20180621) The beer poured clear and dark brown. Its head was medium sized nearly white. Aroma had malts, molasses and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, molasses, coffee, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, burnt and bitter. A pleasant smooth porter. Bit too sweet.

Fra flaske (bb 040719) på M2 Cardinal nov-14: nesten helt svart med fint beige skum. Myk munnfølelse, halvtørr og lett å drikke. Fyldig og slank på samme tid. Kaffe/cappucino og noe salt/tangaktig. Interessant og god. Må prøves igjen. Hvorfor heter den "Cardinal edition"?

Golden with a white head - Fruity hop aroma - Malt body with fruity and herbal hop flavour with some bitterness - The fruity hops and bitterness goes into the finish that ends dry - This was nice

Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into a glass. Opaque medium brown with medium beige head. Aroma is light smoke, medium body, medium/well carbonated, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is nice smoke, pepperoni, and malt. Nice beer.

Nice hazed orange golden color with a fine head. Ok lacing. Decent intensity in the aroma. Ok myrthle mark. Fine body and a fine carbonation level. Balanced sweetness and bitterness. Nice myrthle mark in the flavor also. Nice refreshing ale.

Kl D er en tvangstrøye for et juleøl, men her var alle muligheter utnyttet i et fyldig og smaksrikt øl som ikke savner mer alkohol.
