Description
We are a small group of people who are passionate about beer. So much so that we decided to bring a brewery back to Bewdley.

It has taken a lot of hard work and determination but we hope you'll agree it has all been worthwhile. Together we bring years of experience from within the industry and by just enjoying a good quality pint!

We brew on a 10 barrel plant which produces 2880 pints per brew. We have capacity to brew four times per week, and so this gives over half a million pints per year.

Wild River is our craft and keg arm of the brewery.

Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours “bitter brown” with a small foamy off-white head. Malts and nuts prominent in the aroma, plus traces of autumn fruits. Sweetness is the main sensation in the mouth, with flavours of autumn fruits and caramel. A little bitterness creeps in later on. Finish is sweet but dry. Pleasant enough – but it won’t set the world alight. PS also I would regard it as a bitter / best bitter, and not a “red ale”

500ml bottle from Taylors Gluten Free Network. Dark chestnut brown colour, bubbly beige foam head leaving lacing and aroma of roasty malt, chocolate & caramel. Taste is sweet, malty, roasted notes, with milk chocolate and caramel, and some nutty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry light roast bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Third of a gravity dispensed pint at the Kidderminster Beer Festival on 6th November 2021. Clear amber body, thin white head. Boozy and pretty sweet, mild citrus notes from the hops, but the Cara Malt rules the roost.

Hand-pulled pint in The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury on 9th Aug 2021. Clear amber body, smooth creamy head that stayed the distance and left some impressive lacing. Fairly bitter with a piney hop front aroma and taste wise, floral and fruity esters/flavours followed along nicely. Pleasant, easy drinking ale all round.

500ml bottle. Dark ruby, thin white head, minimal retention; not great. Aroma of malts, liquorice, berries, earth; very nice although you tell its fairly light bodied. This proves to the case but has a nice soft carbonation. Taste is toasted malts, liquorice, berries, nice bitterness, slightly dry. I enjoyed it.
