Can from Beer Cartel for #ratebeersupertasters. Looks like Berocca. Tastes like energy drink. Not too offensive, but not something I'd drink again.

500ml can into pint glass. Thanks to Beer Cartel and Ratebeer. Looks like cloudy blood orange juice, smells like salty orange juice. Light carbonation, light body. Just like drinking an expensive mineral water with some blood orange flavouring and a little salt. This is not screaming 'beer!' at me.

On tap at The World Is Flat, Singapore Changi Airport. Hazy light yellow with a small with head. On the light side with citrus, something that reminded of lemon grass and hints of soap. Drinkable but nothing special.

For #ratebeersupertasters. Bright amber. Strawberry jam nose. Brut IPAs are generally my least favoured beerstyle. Way too dry without the fun of sours. I don't like chardonnays basically. But this one is clever and pleasing. It plays the champagne card well, with the strawberry sweetening without cloying. And there's still an inherent 'beerness' to please.

Pint at Temple Cellars, pours a hazy yellow with white head.  Nose has jade, flowers, some green melon, lollipop.  Flavors has the jade, flowers, candy, rice too.  Crisp, juicy finish.  8 3 7 3 13

500ml can into pint glass. Thanks to Ratebeer and Beer Cartel. Yeasty nose of sweet berry bubblegum. Amber beer, high carbonation, thin white head which disappears. Sweet berry flavour, green apple puckering finish. LIngering yeasty sourness. Like a cross between a dry white wine and drinking yogurt. I'm not sure that's what the brewer was aiming for.

Pours amber, small head.Nose shows strawberries, little else, super clean aroma.Flavours include more strawberries, a gentle acidity that mixes in with the strawberries well and some white wine notes.Carbonation could be a bit higher.

Can. Just pinkish gold with a white head that fades a little slower than Champagne mousse. Aroma of yeasty crackers, strawberries. Light bodied, carbonation is only medium-high (lower than it looks). A deft balance of sweet, sour, and crackers. The strawberries are more a waft than a theme and that works well. It's a bit grapey but the sourness almost stops you from thinking wine cooler. Some light spices at the dry end. Very clever but not really for me.

(Can) Pours hazy pink red with tiny white head. Subtle aroma with watermelon and hints of mint and cardboard. Light body with good fine carbonation. Taste is unusual, very unusual. Watermelon and cucumber are distinct. There’s some slightly harsh bitterness in the finish. Malt is barely present and the mint is pretty low in the mix. Glad I tried it, wouldn’t choose it again.

Bottle - kept this a while because I enjoyed last time's more in December than June. Pretty much black with a tan head that gradually settles to a fat coat. Smells quite sweet with dark, singed sugars, prunes, coffee, licorice. Like last year's it's not as sweet as expected and the smoke and quite firm bitterness grip nicely. A fair bit of licorice. Satisfying drop.
