Cask at GBBF 2012, London. Pours brown with a light, beige and bubbly head. Dark char roast aroma, faint ginger, burnt chocolate. Medium sweet flavor with moderate tang, some gingery spice, charred malts, baking cocoa. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. A bit of spice in the throat to finish, ginger, dark chocolate, char. Not bad.

GBBF. Opaque black - brown beer. Residual tan head. Smooth light palate,a little dry. Nice tangy dark malts with juicy dark fruits and red berries. Peppery chilli sting. Quite spicy and medium hot. Nice fruits but the spices are a bit much.

Cask at GBBF. It pours very dark brown, with a thin light tan head. The nose is light smoke, charcoal, prune, plum, juicy red grape and roasted malt. The taste is sweet plum, red grape, plum, prune, ash, roasted malt, charcoal, smoke, spice and some tanginess, with a spicy finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not bad.

Rather murky. Dull amber. Grapefruity, floral aroma. Sweet, lemony, sticky and a bit strong. It tastes a bit messy but it’s not bad.

Copper-amber. Has a very earthy aroma. Quite earthy - the hops aren’t really very bright. Lots of caramel and biscuit. Would like more expressive hops in an IPA, and I’m not getting much oatmeal.

Dark brown. Chocolatey and lightly roasty. A bit thin on the malt sugars, but ok.

Reddish-brown. Sweet, very fresh grain, crackling crystal malts and toastiness. Chocolatey, too. Pretty good brown.
