They seem to brand a few beers as a steam beer, but this is the current one. Amber. Bright. Not much head. Woody hops with a light caramel malt balance on the nose. Earthy, lightly spicy, with healthy caramel and light mushroom balance. Not sure I like the mushroomy stuff. But otherwise a good brew.

Cask gravity @ GBBF 2011. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity hoppy citrus aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter citrus flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy citrus finish.

Cloudy tan. Earthy-citrusy aroma with some light fruit character. Earthy with moderate bitterness. Malts are a bit muddled and this distracts from the hops. And those hops are a really odd mix that doesn’t really come together.

Cask (gravity) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Unclear medium orange colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, light heavy hoppy, citrus, orange - citrus, peach notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, hoppy, fruity citrus, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20110805]
