Description
We, Sharp’s Brewery, are a modern brewer of cask and bottled beer based in Rock, Cornwall, and owner of the UK’s number one cask and bottled beer, Doom Bar. We’ve grown rapidly to become the largest brewer of cask beer in the South West.

Sharp's Brewery was founded in 1994 by Bill Sharp. The brewery has been through three phases – from a small micro brewery, to a larger facility within the same building and finally to the current phase that has seen the Brewery extend its premises to accommodate more vessels and increase its brewing capacity. Since 2011, the brewery has been owned by Molson Coors.

Tap at Dukes, Sidmouth. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is malt, light citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate to light sweet and bitter with a crisp, light, watery, light lemon citrus, light hop bitter palate. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Light and watery, but with a little taste. Very highly carbonated which would rule it out for a session.

22nd April 2022, No. 2 Refreshment Room, Cleethorpes Railway Station. My son had a keg pint and I took a couple of large gulps so I could rate it. It's a golden Cider that tastes of apples! It was very cold though (it's all in the name I suppose).

I found a 500 ml bottle of Doom Bar at a corner store just out of downtown London. New brewer, new beer certainly, trying out an English brewer on a holiday. Pouring into the only glass available I see an amber-copper body with a ring of almost totally white bubbles. I smell grain, malt and field. The drink compares to an amber ale with malt, cereal, a touch of caramel sweetness and water. Wish it was colder but I have no real complaint.

Clear pale straw colour with a bubbly white head and a soft aroma of apples. Somehow manages to be both sweet and dry, sweet green apples up-front, refreshing and fizzy with a dry finish
