Description
We, Sharp’s Brewery, are a modern brewer of cask and bottled beer based in Rock, Cornwall, and owner of the UK’s number one cask and bottled beer, Doom Bar. We’ve grown rapidly to become the largest brewer of cask beer in the South West.

Sharp's Brewery was founded in 1994 by Bill Sharp. The brewery has been through three phases – from a small micro brewery, to a larger facility within the same building and finally to the current phase that has seen the Brewery extend its premises to accommodate more vessels and increase its brewing capacity. Since 2011, the brewery has been owned by Molson Coors.

Draught at Travellers Rest, Skeeby. Clear pale golden colour, white foam head and aroma of apple, fruity. Taste is sweet, apple, fruity, sugary, with alittle citric acidity. Medium bodied, high carbonation, medium sweet appley finish. Quite OK.

Cask at the Tremenheere, Penzance on 26th December 2023. Deep brownish copper with shallow, yellowy white foam and full lacing. Rich malty aroma. Caramel malt dominates both liquid pass and finish. Hints of berry fruits. Light bodied with a velvet smooth mouthfeel.

[April 2022] Clear pale straw colour with a bubbly white head and a soft aroma of apples. Somehow manages to be both sweet and dry, sweet green apples up-front, refreshing and fizzy with a dry finish

Cask @ The Old Bell Tavern, London. Cloudy yellow orange with a proper white head. Aroma and taste of peaches, malts and apricots. Low bitterness. Low carbonation. Ok but I’m not sure a NEIPA benefits from being served from a cask.

Keg @ Friends Arms, Carmarthen. Clear golden with a carbonation and a bubbly head for it. Sweet apple in both aroma and taste, middling quality.

Half pint at Rummer Tavern, Cardiff. A copperish to amber pour with a greenish cast. Slightly cloudy. Thin layer of an off-white cream. Aroma is coffee, funky towel, earth. Carbonation isn't there at all. Medium crisp, which renders it rather bland. Good bitterness, though. Abrupt aftertaste with new hints of coffee. Nothing out of this world.
