16/6/2020. Sample courtesy of the SHIG, cheers! Pours bubbly clear dark gold with minimal head. Aroma is weak whiskey, light wood, hint of coconut, a little dusty and funky, with some sour fruits. Medium plus sweetness and light tartness. Light to moderate body, surprisingly watery. Grew on me a bit but not a huge fan, the weak watered down whiskey didn’t do it for me.

Bottle: Poured a carbonated orange with white ring around the glass after the white head fizzed away. Aroma was super boozy, whisky and sherry, wood, citrus, lemon, funky. Taste is very weird, almost wine like, fruits, loads of booze, whisky

Bottle, via their online shop. Hazed gold. Fine streams of slow rising bubbles. Fine white head clings to the glass. Nose has soft brett. Lemon rind. Oily herb. Lightly sweet malt. Touch of sweet apple. Taste has a delicate sweetness, and a touch of herbal bitterness. Not particularly sour really. Light body. Slightly oily. Fine brisk carbonation. Light bittersweet finish. Decent. The apple, or what seems like apple coming through, is nice.

Bottle, via the brewery online shop. Corked and caged, and welded in. Took some effort getting in this one. Soft haze on a coppery red. Slim ring of white. Nose has sweaty, leathery brett. Overripe blackberries. Some wine dregs. Taste is fairly sweet and fruity, with a tart and dry, mouldy blackberry thing going on. Medium body. Some oiliness. Foamy carbonation. Minimal acidity. Soft, tart fruit to finish.

Bottle, via the brewery online shop. Honey gold. Light haze. Thin white halo. Nose has watered down Jack Daniels. Some sweet grain. New suede. Light brett. Taste is dry and slightly sour. Oily on the palate. Light carbonation. Feels a tad flabby, unfortunately. Too much barrel and not enough oomph from the base beer, for me.

Bottle, via the online shop. Mostly clear, straw gold. Foam of white is lasting, and lacing. Looks well. Nose has lemon rind. Tonic water. Mineraly hop. Light brett. Taste has some bready sweetness, with light brett bitterness. Light on the palate. Fresh and foamy carbonation. Light tart finish. Good, albeit a little airy.

Bottle, via the brewery online shop. Copper colour. Light haze. Thin and dense, lasting, semi lacing bright white head. Handsome. Nose has wine dregs. Light brett. Tobacco leaf. Spicy hop leaf. Some orange and lemon peel. Taste has some fruity sweetness, with a slightly tangy, woody bitterness. Light to medium body. Fine carbonation. Quite oily. Minimal acidity. Light bitter finish. Very decent, albeit not too complex. Nice barrel character, but finishes a little thin overall.

Bottle via the brewery online shop. Very good value, selection, and delivery speed. The beer pours a lively, straw gold. Light haze. Thick, lively white foam. Nose has spicy hop leaf. Clean malts. Some citrus peel. Some stone fruit. Taste has clean, pithy bitterness. A tad drying. Lively carbonation. Lingering light bitterness to finish. Great beer that other than the high carbonation, drinks like a Kernel pale.

Bottle, from the brewery online shop. Mostly clear, dark amber. Thin and bubbly, creamy white head. Nose has berry fruit. Hint of chocolate malt. Hint of caramel. Whiff of coffee. Smells like a dry stout in a way. Some fresh leafy hop in the background. Taste has a touch of sweetness with a clean and fresh bitterness. Light bodied, with some dryness. Soft carbonation. Lingering light bitterness to finish. Great bitter.
