Description
The Garden Cider Company was created in 2010 by Ben and Will Filby The idea is simple, we make a range of hand crafted premium ciders sourced entirely from local, donated garden apples.
Each year we have over 4000 local households who bring us their spare garden fruit and in return receive a share of the cider made back for free. We are proud to take an abundant, largely wasted natural resource and turn it into sustainable, ethical and quality products.

Bottle from some Surrey garden centre or other. A brief burst of cherry sweetness. This is then overpowers by the tart apples and berries. Ruby red. No head. Sweet with a tangy sour edge. The apple is more prominent into the finish. Overall it's Ribena-esque. Light bodied. Thin but sticky. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. It's OK. Hard Ribena.

Bottle from Crockford Bridge Farm Shop. The aroma and for that matter are dominated by the ginger. There is some sweetness but it does get quite spicy. Dull brownie gold. No head. As I drank more the finish got more astringentt. Not particularly keen on this but then I'm no fan of ginger.

Bottle from Crockford Bridge Farm. Sugary strawberry arom with underlying vinegary apple. Pinky red. A few floating bubbles. The taste is as per the aroma - sweet strawberrry with a sour edge. Light-medium bodied. Sticky mouthfeel. Flat carbonation. Long finish. Reminds me more of an alcopop than anything else, albeit with the sour cider element. It's OK.

Bottle from Crockford Bridge Farm Shop. Slightly vinegary apple aroma. Medium sweet with a sour edge. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long astringent finish. Goes down easily enough but has an almost syrupy element to it verging on sickly.

Bottle from Crockford Bridge Farm Shop. Musty apple aroma. Gold. No head. Light sour apple. The hops are not obvious, they seem to really just temper the apple. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Dry finish. Muted cider.
