Crafty Brands (SXOLLIE Xider)
Cidery in Grabouw, Western Cape, South Africa 🇿🇦
A now merged brewery came in as being from Nederburg, South Africa but the 'Crafty Brands' located there is permanently closed, according to Google Maps, whereas the website seems quite alive.
Another address that I found is "Wildepaardejacht, Klein Drakenstein, Nederburg", but that's on a different location.
Both locations are in the city of Paarl, but the one I merged into is in Grabouw, where it currently is residing for BV.
The website claims the company to be based in London ( SXOLLIE, 15 Spring Bridge Mews, Ealing, W5 2AB )

Bottle at home, 20/08/17. Clear pale golden yellow with a fast collapsing head of white bubbles. Nose is crisp apple, straw, grains. Taste comprises appletize, apple skins, light wood, straw, hint of sweetness. Medium bodied, fine to spritzy carbonation, drying close. Simple stuff but clean and refreshing.

Bottle at Elveden Inn, Suffolk. Apple peel aroma. Light gold. Thin head clings to the rim of the glass. Bubbly. Heavy sweet, with a musty undertow. Light bodied. Sticky. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. Nothing special. Forget the craft tag, this may as well be a macro sweet cider.

330ml bottle from Cotteridge Wines. Pours a misty pale gold, thin white head. Aroma is light desert sweet apple. Taste is clean, with a pleasant light medium sweetness. There is something different about the apple - and pear - varieties used that lend an attractive moreish sweetness. Not as sweet as I imagined, not bad really.

Bottle from The Savannah, Liverpool Street Station, London. Pours a very pale yellow/gold with no head. Sweet apple aroma. Distinctive Golden Delicious apple flavour. Very sweet. Light body, sticky texture, high carbonation. Quite drinkable but very sweet even as sweet ciders go.
