Associated Venue: Tillingbourne Brewery
Established in 2011
In partnership with an old school friend Lee the purchase was completed in September 2011 and then the major task of cleaning, decorating and upgrading the brewery began…
On 19th November 2011, the first Tillingbourne brew was finally underway. With over 20 years’ experience, moving from brewing 120 pints for private consumption to nearly 5,000 pints commercially was always going to be a challenge. But under Steve’s strict quality control, we did it and without compromise.
Our reputation for quality grew as quickly as our reputation for being hop fanatics. Our passion for infusing our beers with copious amounts of hops has also become our signature.

Cask at GBBF ’13, 13/08/13. Light black with a thin tan head that clears edgeward. Nose is light pine, dark fruit, touch of Belgian yeast, sugars, hint of grapefruit. Taste comprises earthy notes, orange pith, mineral notes, light roast, light hops. Medium bodied, dry finish with light bitter notes. Interesting brew - quite liked this - it seems to have very mixed reviews after just 4! Bitter/mild meets CDA - I’d happily revisit this number! CDA non believers I blame !

Thin black bitter with very little head. Has a very small roasted aroma, but nothing significant. There’s no real taste follow up to this.
