Can shared in London - cheers to Cloin. Pours totally clear copper with a small, foamy topping. Restrained, perhaps a little faded, with dry and bitter pine needles, grass, toasted pale malts. Medium. Ladies with fine carbonation. Subtle resin in the finish, followed by aggressive grassy bitterness. So so.

Can from GBBF 2018 and drunk at home. Russet dark amber colour. Lasting beige head. It's a bit understated but then livens up a bit. Malty, but not overly sweet. Hop flavour comes through in the mouth and on the end. Some gun oil hoppy finish like green hops. It's not a big showy IPA. It's malty yes. OK, not terrific, blow your socks off, but a decent IPA. OK so I'm going to give it a 3.5 I just can't give it more, but it's fine.

7th August 2018
GBBF Day 1. Can. Hazy amber beer, good cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Malts are light but have a decent amount of toffee caramel, not that sweet. Resinous orange hops, slighty bitter peel. Litte fresher orange on the semi dry finish. Chewy malts, okay hops.

Cask at GBBF’17, day one, 08/08/17. Pitch black with a tan head. Nose is rich bourbon, chocolate, light spice, charr, toffee. Taste comprises dark fruits, liqourice, boozey tunes, dark chocolate chips, spice, mellow bourbon tang. Full bodied, soft carbonation, warming booze ripple in the close. Decent for a cask impy drinking below the stated 13.5%.
