From a 12 oz can. Pours black with tan head. Aromas are of roast nuts and cocoa. Flavors are fairly sweet chocolate with a fair amount of bitter roast notes. Pretty nice porter.

Brewery draught, 12/28/22. Dark. Undetermined clarity. Beige head shows moderate retention. Nose is all rum but it's lovely. Spicy notes with molasses and brown sugar. Not boozey. Clean, though lacking a bit in malt richness. Soft, lightly malty with good sweetness up front turning to rum spice and dryness, moderately watery and thin on the finish with a bit of alcohol. They're definitely on the right track, just need to nail down those double boils or something like that. Beers are all clean and dry and the barrel character here is great.

Brewery draught, 12/28/22. Ebony to dark mahogany. Small, beige head, moderately-low retention. Cocoa, cinnamon, very light roast with no suggestions of sweetness. Clean, not boozey, or over-adjuncted, though they do come across strongly on account of the low malt. Strong cocoa, moderately-strong cinnamon and a bit of malt depth before strongly thinning and drying through the middle and finish. Dry, cinnamon forward, clean. Like most of their beers, it needs more maltiness.

Brewery draught, 12/28/22. Clear, amber-auburn. Dark beige head slowly to ring. Peanut Butter and light toast with hints of vanilla and fruity yeast. Nothing overdone, though a bit light on the malt. Yet again, like all of their beers I've had, it's clean and dry but timid on malt texture and flavor, with tastefully-done adjuncts. Peanut Butter is excellent here but it's very thin textured on the finish.

Brewery draught, 12/28/22. Moderately hazy, bronze-brass-maize. Small, white head, moderate retention. Juicy nose, hint of bubble gum, varied hop notes with moderate grapefruit and light pine. Clean, sparsely malted, no alcohol or flaw. Clean, biscuity, moderate citrus and pine with very light sweetness from malt before drying out on the well attenuated finish. Like their goses, it's a bit timid on the flavor and could use a bit more malt depth but is clean with no problematic hop notes.

Brewery draught, 12/28/22. Pinkish-golden-maize. Small head to ring. Hint of haze. Watermelon is noted and seems authentic. Chile nor sugar overdone. Again biscuity and quite lactic. Clean. Better flavor from adjuncts than the kiwi mango gose. Watermelon is excellent and Tajin Chile mixes with lactic acid to give a good sweet and sour balance. Still slightly thinner body than I'd prefer but clean and well-done otherwise.

Draught at the brewery, 12/28/22. Clear, lighter blonde-golden. Small head quickly to ring. Light fruit though highly attenuated. Lots of wheat and/or biscuity malt. Light to moderate lactic acidity. Clean. Very dry, a bit thin, but clean and snappy. Wish there was a little more fruit. It's there but vague. Moderate lactic acid at the forefront.

Black with a creamy, beige head. Coffee grounds aroma with a touch of fudge. Taste is roasted bitter, full of coffee with a hint of sweetness at the finish. Medium-bodied, mild carbonation. Decent.

I have a 12 oz can from the Santa Fe Total Wine purchased over the Thanksgiving weekend. Cool label, sort of a chic, euro-effect appearance. A snifter awaits the pour, I see an opaque, light gold liquid with a swell head of fully white foam. The scent is nicely piney and citrusy. The taste after all that, well, I will say it is good folks. Throwback for sure. Grapefruit, a small bit of pineapple, a small influence of mango, cedar, hops, a nice malt backbone and forest. This is a pleasant surprise, well done New Mexico. And this comes from someone that is not a real fan of IPAs.
