Can taken away from the Bedford Beer Festival 2018, drunk at home. Dark purplish brown, opaque with almost no head. There's lots and lots of coffee in the aroma. And paper strangely. Like brewing coffee with a filter coffee. Maybe a touch of blackberry as well. Sweet flavour with some peppery hop in the background. Bitterness asserts a bit more in the finish, giving it a rounded balance. Carbonation not too intrusive. A really impressive beer and a new state for me. What's not to like?

Can split at CBC Holborn, picked up at the GBBF, 29/08/18. Clearn golden amber with a big old egg shell white head. Nose is old skool IPA ... grassy notes, caramel, bitter orange, toasted grains. Taste comprises caramel malts, orange peel, citric tinged straw, light breads, grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Passable IPA but a ltitle tired in its outlook.
