Cask at Great British Beer Festival 2023, Olympia, London. A dark golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, orange, grapefruit, tropical fruit taste and aroma. Decent dank IPA.

Fra cask på GBBF aug-23, delt med Steven: nesten helt klar gylden med ok skum. Karameller, tropiske frukter, appelsinmarmelade, lette kryddertoner og litt vanilje. Hint av bourbon? Cremet munnfølelse. 7,2%.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Light palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Thinnish malts, a light creamy sweetness getting slightly milky. Reasonably bright citrus. Light dry pine. Some hop spice on the fairly dry finish. Not bad.

Deep amber with a frothy, white head that lingers. Quite fruity aroma for a barley wine .. presumably the „west coast style“. A mix of tropical fruits, apples, and caramel. Taste is mildly sweet up front, full of licorice and brown sugar. Finishes with nectarines and peppermint, but also a bit of booze. Full-bodied, mild carbonation. Warming at the end. Nice.

Black with a light brown head. Roasted grain aroma with a touch of milk chocolate. Taste is roasted bitter the whole way through. The highlight is the body—creamy, silky perfection with good chewiness. Nice!

This 16 oz can was purchased at the Santa Fe Total Wine back in the heat of the summer. So now on the coldest evening so far of the season I am ready to have a sampling. Once again I can say Second Street is great with the graphics, a fine label. And the bottom of the can says Danger Kitty along with 03/22/22, enough said. I think a snifter is in order, my Buffalo Bayou glass will suffice. The pour is unequivocally black with a steadfast top of light brown foam. I lift the glass to smell a strong amount of chocolate, vanilla and wheat bread. As good as the scent is, well, the taste is better. Dark chocolate, strawberries, vanilla, a bit of coffee roastiness, chocolate malt, some caramel, grain and earth. Unexpectedly good. Between Santa Fe and Albuquerque, the breweries in New Mexico turn out some surprising beers.
