[50cl bottle, bought by my daughter at the Garlic Farm.] A chestnut brown pour with a tight cream head; roasted malt aroma; malty taste with some earthy caramel; and a sweet nutty finish. Fortunately no obvious sign of the garlic.

Bottle from my sister and drunk at home. Clear deep brown colour lasting beige head. Brown malt aroma. It's a tasty brown malt malty bitter. Some bitterness on the finish. Decent best bitter. OK.

Old rating - A 500ml bottle from Haskins Garden Centre in Angermering, West Sussex. Poured at home in Jersey, It's brown with a white head. Aromas & tastes of fruits, grain, malt & mild hints of black garlic. Passable ale but the garlic is really difficult to detect.

500ml bottle, thanks to Grumbo. BB - 01/21. Pours dark brown with a off white head. Aromas & tastes of chocolate, dark fruits, toffee, hints of orange & malt. Moderate body. Dry finish. Enjoyable, especially considering it's a year out of date, happy to get my 2nd IOW rate

Bottle from Anderson & Hill, Great Western Arcade, Birmingham. A bit pricey at £4.50 but its my first Isle of Wight rate. Clear amber, with small off-white head. Aroma of malts, some caramel, light fruitiness and grass. Not much garlic. Taste is similar, a bit basic but I'm not hating it as expected. Garlic is quite faint thank god.

Almost clear deep amber brown beer, small but tidy tan head. A light and smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Mellow dark malts, a decent chocolate vibe, cocoa and a trace of Bourneville. The orange is lightly delivered and quite floral, orange oils I suspect. Light finish. A decent affair.
