Our name comes from the other major landmark of the town, the Torrs - a park set in the 70-foot-deep gorge cut by the Rivers Goyt & Sett, that the town stands above and around, where many of the town's mills used to stand.

Bottle split at CBJ tasting, thanks to Danny Boyo, 18/10/23. Moderately hazed amber topped with an off white covering. Nose is smoke, medicinal notes, booze, oak, stewed fruits. Taste comprises booze tunes, ripe fruit tang, spice, herb, vinous, campfire, medicinal. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a boozey streak. Poor showing really ... sippable but clunky and disjointed.

330ml bottle. Pitch black with almost no head. Aroma of roasty and dark malts, liquorice, molasses, piney hops. Taste is very malt forward, dark malts, dark fruits (dates I assume), molasses, chocolate, and some citrus peel and piney hop bitterness to finish, also I did get a bit of smoke (peaty) from this unlike Garrold before me, and it was a nice touch. Medium bodied, not too boozy despite the strength. Would’ve preferred a lot more hops for a BIPA but otherwise this is great.

Creamy white head stayed on a finely carbonating unclear pale golden coloured body. Bubble gum & sweet citrus aroma. Medium bodied, soft with a tingle on the back & clean aft. Melon, sweet citrus & peach tastes with a tangy finish. Quaffer.

Bottle. High Peak Beer and Wine. Mostly clear dark reddy brown. Very decent sticky beige swede. Ashy earthy light coffee malt. Bit of semi sweet chocolate. Taste has light sweetness with a bit of light vinous earthy bitterness. Good body at the 3.8. Fine carbonation. Pretty healthy dose of bitterness to finish. Tasty. Nice.

Bottle from Tor Beers at The Golden Lion, Todmorden. Clear golden with a healthy glow and a small bubbly-frothy head. Hoppy, but has quite a lot of carbonation so this is apparent in the palate too. Very easy to drink.
