Cask @ Flying Horse Hotel, Rochdale. Clear golden with a head. Has a heavy, sweet cherry aroma, with the more 'bakewell' styling its taste. Here it remains sweet, but its easy texture offsets a possible overbearingness about the brew.

Cask at the Riverhead Tap, Marsden nr Huddersfield. Pale golden colour with a white head. Light citrus aroma and taste. Slight sweet. And thin. Not much to taste.

Cask at the Riverhead tap in Marsden. Jet black colour with a pale creamy coloured head. Aroma and taste are malty sweet to bitter roasted with the liquorice only subtle. Smooth body.

Cask at the Pup and Duckling, Solihull. Poured a clear yellow golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, yeast, light citrus. The flavour is moderate sweet and bitter, with a smooth, slightly watery, malt, mineral, light lemon citrus, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, pale malt, fruity malt, damp stain - fusty, light lemon grass - lime.
