Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours golden yellow with a small scummy almost white head and good lacing. The aroma is mostly malts with hints of mango and melon. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy but with a little underlying bitterness. Flavour is mainly malts and tropical fruits (peach and passion fruit) with little citrus coming through later. Finish is somewhat dry. This is reasonable – but it’s not really an IPA. Not much evidence of hops at all.

Ossett Official Pub Walking Tour Beer#4. Fourth beer in the fourth and last walking tour pub from Ossett and one their other brewery beers to finish. A very dark plum porter with decent notes of the fruit in both aroma and taste, although you can find more stated examples. It's also not quite the right day or season for it, but nevertheless enjoyable.

Cask at Hops., Crewe. Pours golden brown with a small scummy cream head and good lacing. The aroma has malts, hops, nuts and golden fruit. In the mouth it is somewhat bitter with a creamy texture. Flavours are malts, traditional hops, caramel and hints of citrus, honey and cola. Finish is dry and slightly sticky. This is a reasonable old style bitter.
