Bottle. Little Leeds Beer House. Slightly murky, orange amber. Thin, messy, dirty white head. Earthy malts. Some cheesy, sweaty thing going on. Light, fruity hop. Taste has a fruity tang. Some woody, earthy bitterness. Soft sweetness. Medium body. Crisp fizz. Tangy, lightly astringent, bitter finish.

Bottle. Little Leeds Beer House. Nearly black. Film and ring of tan head. Nose has rich, earthy, fruity roast malts. Some liquorice woodiness. Nutty chocolate. Some vanilla. Taste is soft, nutty sweet. Woody bitter. Palate is rich and smooth. Nicely tangy. Fruity, woody, dark chocolate bitter finish. Lick of salt right on the close. Much less bitter, and much more drinkable than the coffee version. Nice one.

Bottle. Little Leeds Beer House. Not far off black. Film and halo of lasting, sticky, tan head. Nose is savoury, gravy malts. Light coffee. Some vine fruit. Some sawn wood. Taste is burnt bitter. Some sweetness. Decent depth of body. Fairly smooth. Finishes pretty burnt bitter. Too savoury, and as such not entirely cohesive. Overly bitter, too. Needs a tweak.

Bottle. Little Leeds Beer House. Dark, chocolate brown. Thickish halo of tan head. Some decent nutty chocolate to this. A little woody. Taste is light, brown sugar sweet. Turns gentle, hazelnut skin bitter. Palate is a bit thin, and drying. Finishes long, nutty bitter. Pretty dry close.

Keg. Leeds International Beer Festival. Hazy, dark yellow. Bubbly, lasting, white head. Oaty, with sugary Weetabix malts. Taste is biscuit sweet, and light bitter. Smooth palate. Finish is long bitter, but overall is too sweet for me.

Bottle. Curious Hop, Otley. Hazy amber. Big, rocky, bubbly, off white head. Lots of fine sediment bobbing about. Tart, stewed, resinous hop juice. Very piny. Lots of ripe, fusty orange. Spicy, rye like, biscuity malts. Pretty bold. Definitely at the dank, fusty end of the spectrum. Taste is big, spicy, resinous bitter. A definite zingy tartness to it. Palate is full on, hop oily. Finishes long, pithy, resinous bitter. Tasty gear. I’m thinking the brewer might not have intended this much tart bitterness. Tastes good to me, though.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours hazy golden with a thick off-white head. Aromas of sherbet, yeast, woody pine. Taste is very woody. Cheap pot pourri. Dry finish. Not good. Bottling/yeast problem somewhere maybe?
