Hotly tipped East London trio Deviant & Dandy are bringing fresh noise to the London brewing scene from their Hackney ex-garage with an exciting mashup of expert brewing and a fearless disregard for taking risks. Can 330ml. @ The Shnoodlepip, London. [ As Deviant & Dandy Trust Pale Ale ].Clear medium to dark amber orange colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, sweet malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, licorice hops. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, hoppy, grapefruit, licorice hops, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170812] 7-3-7-3-15

Keg at Craft Beer Co. - Old Street. Pours deep black-brown with a creamy, tan head. Lots of burnt herbs in the aroma, some cocoa, coffee grounds. Medium sweet flavour with further charred herbal notes, bitter cocoa, earth. Medium to full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Oily finish, more charred winters spices, herbs, ashy roast, dark malts, earth, cocoa. A little scattered, but not bad.

Can from ABM, shared at home with the Mrs - golden orange pour with white head. Fruity and sweet toasted malty with some notes of grapefruit, orange, peach, medium to light bodied, piney grassy light bitter hoppy into the finish.

33 cL can. Pours cloudy orange. Small white head. Aroma is peach and slight grapefruit hops. Grapefruit, piney. Slight herbal hoppy. Bitter, dry and herbal. Dry far finish.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden yellow. Big fluffy head. Nose - green beans and pale malt. Light spice. Taste - lemon and sweetcorn. Palate - light bodied, long, lean and crisp! Overall - good !
