Shropshire,
England 🏴
Associated Venue: Stonehouse Beer & BBQ
Established in 2007
Our brewing plant capacity has been upgraded over the years and now is now 100 brewer’s barrels (28,800 pints) per week, which allows us to meet demand during peak periods. In 2013 we constructed a purpose built, energy efficient brew house, and we’re always looking for ways to improve our environmental impact by saving water and energy.

Keg @ Salopian, the pub. Pours clear gold, extremely effervescent. Nice apple fruit on the nose. Taste is crisp, with good fleshy medium apple fruit. Going for a commercial market but seems to boast much more of a fruity high-juice apple presence, with some welcome bitter skins. Very good indeed.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Real Ale Festival, July 2018. Pours a misty gold, white head. Moderately sweet malt in character, green-hop perhaps, a little sour with some lime notes. Generally decent and drinkable.

Keg @ Coracle, Ironbridge. Pours clear gold, small white head. Has a nice gentle sweetness, crisp bitterness, a little vienna in feel, some light hoppy moments. Generally well rounded. Not a bad Shropshire pils.

500ml bottle from the Brewery Visitor Centre; BBD May 19. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 5th Jun 18. Clear golden body, deep uneven foam covering, white in colour. Caramel notes rule the nose and taste, semi-sweet toffee flavours abound. Light hop action throughout, as the brewery blurb and bottle label says, it's 'Lightly hopped'. My sweet tooth enjoyed this.

Keg pint at the Brewery Visitor Centre on 2nd June 2018. Just had the brewery tour and needed a thirst quencher. This was the ideal beer for that moment. Golden body, clean, clear and bright, full white crown on top which hung around as I sank the beer down. Slight citrus notes in both the nose and taste (some un-named KIWI hops used within the brew), more bitter than sweet, more hoppy than grainy and a very pleasant Pilsner all round.

500ml bottle: BB Feb 2019. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 7th Apr 2018. Black/very dark brown body, large tanned crown on top. Chocolate like maltiness in the nose, again in the taste, roasted malts rule the flavours, slight vanilla notes as the beer warmed a little in the tankard. Liked it.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A clear amber beer with a huge most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of caramelish malt, nuts, reddish malt. Taste of dry caramelish malt, nuts, spicy hops, toffee, medium bitterness, soft carbonation.

Many thanks to Minutemat for this bottel! Malty nose. The beer starts very dry, malty. Moderate bitter, very dry but rich and full-bodied. Nice but a bit dry aftertaste, sessionable, dry malty in the aftertaste with a nice bitterness. Hazelnuts with hints of roast.
Cloudy apple goodness.
