Cardiff Mini-break Beer#9. Mahogany coloured. Has a sweet dark-malty taste, although a light example of... with coffee its best feature in aroma. This was a re-rate from over a decade ago.

On cask at Whistle Inn, Blaenavon - clear amber, great lacing white head. Standard malty cereal taste, some tasty fresh hops in there, gentle bitter finish. Very much a sessionable beer.

Old rating - One of 5 bottles I got when visiting the brewery in the spring of 2014. Old notes from 13-07-14. Pours a red copper colour with a white head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, toffee, fruits & bready malt. Medium bitter finish. Average

Old rating - A 500ml bottle from the brewery in 2014. Old notes from 06-08-14. Pours a slightly see through black with a white head. Aromas & tastes of chocolate, coffee & roasted malt. Light to medium body. Soft slightly bitter finish. Very enjoyable
